Back by Popular Demand. Guests flip through Ted Gioia’s book Jazz Standards, pick a tune they love or want to discover (consider taking a look at the book link above to browse through 250 incredible selections before you arrive). We then read aloud Ted’s short essay from the book on how the composition entered the Jazz Standards’ Lexicon and play several classic recorded versions of the jazz standards you select to explore the evolution of jazz stylings over the decades. A must for jazz aficionados, and if Jazz isn’t your thing it could well be by the end of the evening.

Tonight we’re joined by the Soundbar’s good friend SUNDEEP SHARMA, an Indian born Geophysicist turned Recording Artist/Producer whose transcendent hip-hop recordings – chanted/sung in Hindi – are mesmerizing. Tonight, Sundeep premieres his latest release “Ghar”, while revisiting some of his masterful prior work and paying homage to his influences. We’re big fans. Here comes the Sun! A selection of global tunes will fill out the rest of this special evening.
